Herbicide Classification Chart

 

Take Action’s Herbicide Classification Chart is the flagship product of the Take Action research group. Created and maintained by Michigan State weed scientist Christy Sprague, the chart is designed to help farmers sort through commercially available herbicide products and determine their modes of action quickly and efficiently. 

 

The chart groups herbicides and herbicide premixes by their modes of action, which are organized by Group Number (0 to 29) and color-coded for easier reading. Checking your herbicide program against the chart can help growers rotate among effective herbicides with different sites of action to delay the development of herbicide resistance.

 

Every year, thousands of Herbicide Classification charts are distributed at farmer meetings, conferences and educational events. The chart is updated annually and is available for limited print orders, free of charge. Use the order form below to request charts for your organization:
