Why Care About Metabolic Herbicide Resistance?

Target-site resistance has been the more common form of resistance, while metabolic resistance has been flying under the radar.ย  Recently, there has been an increase in reported cases of metabolic resistance. In this video, University of Illinois weed scientist Dr. Patrick Tranel discusses the differences between target-site and metabolic resistance, and the impact of metabolic resistance on weed management.
